Charleston Lavender Farm was established in 2003, with approximately 700 plants on a ½ acre site near Colfax, California. Six varieties of angustifolia and intermediate lavender (lavandin) are produced. Varieties vary from the early blooming sweet smelling Sachet to long stemmed late blooming Fred Boutin. Some particularly interesting varieties include Alba, a long stemmed white lavender and Hidcote, a striking deep purple, velvet textured flower. Premier- an early English lavender and Grosso- the most commonly grown lavender in the world, round out the six varieties.
Lavender and Lavender Products are sold at Farmers Markets, Craft Fairs, Festivals and Plant Sales at the farm (May & October). Check out the Events page for the dates.
